Double bed, desk, café table, three chairs, its own toilet (no shower) and a wardrobe. You bring your own bed linen and towels.
There is a shared workshop in the parking basement that all residents may use. Tools, a workbench and a shared key arrangement.
Operation, clean-up days and an annual general meeting in April/May. Gårdlauget (the courtyard association) has its own website and its own contact. Residents may use the nursery's playground outside opening hours.
Askholm consists of 69 rental homes at Dexter Gordons Vej 1-5, Sluseholmen 37-39 and Thad Jones Vej 2-4, 2450 Copenhagen SV. The flats come in 20 different layouts, and every one of them has a balcony or a terrace. The buildings form a block around an enclosed courtyard.
The property was built in 2008 by SAB (Samvirkende Boligselskaber), which has an
administration agreement with KAB (Københavns Almindelige Boligselskab), who handle
letting and day-to-day operation.

The housing department is part of a larger organisation. Together with Børnehuset Sluseholmen (the day-care centre), SAB Askholm makes up the commonhold unit Askholm II. On top of that come 69 owner-occupied flats in Askholm I.
A joint gårdlaug (courtyard association) has been established between the owners' association and the rental department, responsible for operating and maintaining the courtyard and the parking basement. The department is also a member of Grundejerforeningen Sluseholmen Nord, the local landowners' association.
The board is elected at the annual general meeting in the spring. We look after the department's interests in dialogue with the service centre, the courtyard association and the landowners' association.
The bigger decisions are made at the general meeting itself — the board makes sure they are put to a vote. As a resident this is where you have your say: we vote on the budget, approve the accounts, and elect the board.
