Letter from the board
A letter from your department board
Dear neighbour,
We on the board would like to give you a little insight into the board, the board's work, why it matters to have a board in a social housing association, and how you as a resident can help the board.
The board currently consists of three people: Niklas Munk-Andersen (chair), and board members Ivy Tingting Guan and Birgitte Bidstrup. The board meets once a month and discusses matters large and small.
Our primary role is to look after the residents' interests and, through dialogue with KAB, the service centre, the courtyard association, the landowners' association and others, to make sure it is pleasant to live in our department.
It is also up to the board to keep an eye on the finances and make sure we do not end up with unnecessary costs, and thereby rent increases.
The board is run on a voluntary basis. We think it is important that the association has a board, because otherwise decisions are made for us that are not necessarily in our interest. For example, the board takes part in ongoing discussions with all stakeholders about how larger costs are shared (such as the sewage water damage in the parking basement in 2021 and the ongoing seepage of rainwater into the parking basement).
Another example is the upkeep of our lovely common room and guest flat, including buying new duvets, emptying the vacuum cleaner bag, or cleaning and descaling the dishwasher. The board has handled this so far, but we are considering paying the service centre to do it, as we on the board do not have the time.
How can you as a resident help the board?

Feedback
We would very much like to hear from you! How are things in the department? What works and what does not? Are there things we should raise with the service centre? Is anything missing in the department?
For example: shared events, facilities, cleaning, charging points in the parking basement, or anything else.

Help with the common room & guest flat
The board — like you — is generally caught up in everyday life. That is why we need help.
We need roughly 1-2 people once a quarter for about an hour, to go through the rooms.
We will hold a meeting with anyone interested. Signing up is in no way binding, so you can always withdraw.

Kind regards,
Your board.
